The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Founders Edition is optimized for gaming at maximum settings in 1080p/1440p resolutions and is capable of handling 4K gaming at lower quality settings or with DLSS enabled. The RTX 4070 SUPER offers a performance level comparable to the RTX 3090, despite a modest increase in power consumption compared to the RTX 4070. Its power efficiency remains impressive for the performance offered.
The updated RTX 4070 SUPER architecture presents significant performance enhancements over the RTX 4070 while maintaining similar launch pricing. It features a standard memory configuration of 12GB GDDR6X, aligning with the 4070 and 4070 Ti models. The card excels in both general and ray tracing performance up to 1440p resolutions, making it a very strong price/performance choice for gaming.
However, despite its strengths, the card is limited to (3) v1.4 DisplayPort and (1) HDMI v2.1 port. Support for DisplayPort version 2.1 or more HDMI 2.1 connections would be appreciated.
