The Cooler Master CK720 is a 65% hot-swappable wired mechanical keyboard designed for keyboard enthusiasts, marking Cooler Master’s entry into this competitive market. Built with a durable, removable aluminum top plate and a customizable multimedia knob, the CK720 offers a high level of customizability typically desired by enthusiasts.

Available for an MSRP of $100 USD, the keyboard comes in two color options - Silver White and Space Gray - and three switch choices: Kailh Box V2 Red, White, and Brown. While its 1000 Hz polling rate may not appeal to hardcore gamers, it remains a compelling option for those who enjoy tinkering with and customizing their keyboard.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

THE GOOD

  • Build Quality

Sturdy design allows for extensive customization, making it an attractive option for enthusiasts who enjoy personalizing keyboards.

  • Price

Delivers premium features at a competitive price, offering users a high-quality mechanical keyboard without the steep price tag typically associated with enthusiast-level models.

THE BAD

  • Polling Rate

Capped at 1000 Hz. While this may be sufficient for most users, those who prioritize fast response times for competitive gaming might find this limitation less ideal.

THE REST

  • Overall

Cooler Master's first venture into the enthusiast mechanical keyboard market is a success. The overall build quality, typing feel, and customizability makes this keyboard feel like a premium 'keeb' but without the premium price tag.
