The Corsair K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS is a compact, wireless-compatible, hot-swappable mechanical keyboard. It marks Corsair's debut in the hot-swappable keyboard market and has quickly become a favorite among gamers. With an 8000 Hz polling rate and low latency, it's easy to see why it has gained popularity.
The keyboard is available in Black and White colorways with Cherry MX Red and MX Speed Silver switch options, currently priced at $179.99 USD MSRP on Corsair's webstore. Users can further customize their purchase online, including additional switches, keycaps, and an accent bar for the back of the keyboard. While the 60% layout frees up desk space, it may not suit those who prefer dedicated arrow keys or a function row. Overall, it's a feature-packed, premium-priced keyboard.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
THE GOOD
- Latency
The keyboard has low latency, making it an excellent choice for pro gamers who need fast response times.
THE BAD
- Build Quality
Despite its $179.99 USD price tag, the plastic chassis and rattly switches detract from its premium feel. While it’s Corsair’s first hot-swappable keyboard, it doesn’t sound as refined as it could.
THE REST
- Compact Size
For those who need extra desk space, the K70 Pro Mini’s 60% layout gives users the maximum amount of extra space.
- Overall
This keyboard is ideal for gamers who prioritize speed but are also interested in exploring the enthusiast keyboard space. Corsair’s attempt at merging hot-swappable functionality with a pro-gamer design is a strong first effort.
The Corsair K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS comes with minimal accessories. In the Box, you'll find the keyboard, a detachable braided USB Type-C cable, an extra spacebar and escape keycap, a SLIPSTREAM wireless receiver, and user documentation.
While the chassis is plastic, the metal baseplate helps minimize flex. The keyboard features PBT double-shot, shine-through keycaps, providing a textured feel. However, the lack of sound dampening and frameless design lead to a rattle, echo sound when typing on the standard Cherry MX switches. On the bright side, the frameless design enhances RGB illumination, which is appealing for users who prioritize lighting effects.

Compatible with Corsair's iCUE software, the K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS supports both Windows and macOS systems. Although it doesn't feature QMK or VIA customization, users can remap keys, set up macros, and customize RGB lighting effects. The keyboard can store up to 50 onboard profiles, each capable of including macros and up to 20 lighting layers.
The per-key RGB backlighting offers extensive customization, allowing users to match the keyboard's illumination with their personal preferences or gaming setup.
The K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS was tested with Cherry MX Speed Silver switches. These hot-swappable switches offer an operating force of 44.9 gf, 1.25 mm of pre-travel, and 2.49 mm of total travel.
In terms of latency, the keyboard delivered very low latency, averaging 2.2 ms in wired mode and 3.0 ms in wireless mode with the SLIPSTREAM receiver. However, it exhibited above-average latency in Bluetooth mode, averaging 14.1 ms.
While the K70 PRO MINI WIRELESS does not include a wrist rest, it features two adjustable incline angles - 4.5° and 9° - to suit user preferences. Corsair also sells a cushioned wrist rest for mini profile keyboards for $29.99 USD on their webstore.
The keyboard supports anti-ghosting and NKRO, ensuring accurate registration of key presses, even during fast typing or intense gaming sessions.
