The Logitech K380 is a compact, Bluetooth-only, multi-device membrane keyboard that excels in portability. Its low profile and slim design make it a great option for hybrid office workers who need a versatile keyboard. With multi-device capability, switching between devices is smooth and convenient. Priced at an affordable $39.99 USD, it's widely available in a variety of colors, including Black, Blueberry, Dark Gray, Silver, White, Rose, Lavender, and Sand.
As the predecessor to the Logitech Pebble Keys K380S, the K380 lacks compatibility with the Logi Bolt USB receiver, which the K380S offers. While the keyboard's round keycaps might not appeal to everyone, the colorful options can brighten up a desk without clutter. For those looking for a more premium experience, the Logitech MX Keys Mini could be an alternative.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
THE GOOD
- Portability
The keyboard is extremely light and compact, weighing only 423 g with batteries, making it highly portable. Its multi-device Bluetooth compatibility allows seamless switching between devices, such as a home computer and a work laptop.
THE BAD
- Battery
It's powered by two AAA batteries, and if you don't have spares available, the keyboard essentially becomes a plastic slab.
THE REST
- Overall
This is one of the cheapest compact Bluetooth keyboards available from a trusted manufacturer. It's a solid choice if you're looking for a slight improvement over laptop keyboards or the basic office standards.
The Logitech K380 comes with no additional accessories beyond the keyboard itself, pre-installed with two AAA batteries, and some user documentation. It features a compact 75% layout, complete with a full function row, dedicated hotkeys, and shared media control keys.
Constructed with an all-plastic chassis, the keyboard manages to minimize flex, despite its plastic build. The keycaps are made from ABS plastic and are pad-printed. The unique round shape of the keycaps sets it apart from other keyboards, though the smaller size may take some getting used to. Through testing, the keyboard demonstrated a smooth, quiet typing experience, which makes it ideal for hybrid workers.
Although the K380 is Bluetooth-only, its successor, the K380S, offers compatibility with the Logi Bolt USB receiver for users who prefer that option.
