The Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is a lightweight, slightly smaller version of the popular Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro. Since its initial release in 2006, this legacy mouse has undergone many iterations, with the HyperSpeed being the latest addition to the lineup. Unlike previous HyperSpeed models, this version does not require AA batteries; instead, it includes a rechargeable battery for convenience.
Weighing only 55 g, it retains a full top and bottom shroud, offering a sleek and smooth design. The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is wireless and features an ergonomic design tailored to right-handed users. Equipped with Razer's Gen-3 optical switches, it delivers fast, accurate movements, making it perfect for professional gamers. At the same time, its minimalistic design and responsive features make it suitable for non-gamers looking for a quick, efficient mouse.
Priced at $99.99 USD on Razer's web store, the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is an excellent addition to any setup.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
THE GOOD
- Latency
The mouse has low latency, making it ideal for fast-paced gaming or responsive productivity tasks.
- Design
It has a sleek matte black design with no RGB and a minimalist logo.
THE BAD
- Cable
The included cable is made of rubber and is shorter than most, lacking the premium feel of other Razer mice. However, it's likely not intended for regular use, except during charging.
THE REST
- Overall
The Razer DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed offers most of the features found in the DeathAdder V3 Pro but in a smaller and lighter form. It's designed for smaller, right-handed users and is a great choice for both pro gamers and everyday users.
In the Box, the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed comes with a USB Type-A to Type-C cable, a wireless adapter, a receiver dongle, and user documentation. The included cable is made of rubber, relatively short, and lack flexibility, likely not intended to be used regularly, as the mouse is advertised for up to 100 hours of battery life when used wirelessly.
For added portability, the wireless dongle can be stored underneath the mouse. The minimal customization options make this mouse a great choice for users who prefer a plug-and-play experience.

The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is compatible with Razer Synapse 3 software, allowing users to adjust various settings such as polling rate, debounce time, DPI, and lift-off distance. There are no RGB lighting options, maintaining the mouse's simple design, with only a small LED near the scroll wheel to indicate charging status.
In terms of performance, the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed supports a DPI range from 100 to 26,000 using the Focus X 26K Optical Sensor. It includes five programmable buttons, and the left and right click switches feature Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3.
In testing, the mouse demonstrated low latency in both wired and wireless modes. It supports up to an 8000 Hz polling rate when paired with the separately sold Razer HyperPolling Wireless Dongle ($29.99 USD on Razer's web store), otherwise, it defaults to a 1000 Hz polling straight out of the box. It achieved low latency measurements of 1.53 ms in wired mode and 1.83 ms in wireless mode.
The DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed is ergonomically designed for right-handed users, with programmable buttons located on the left side of the mouse. While it does not feature dedicated thumb or pinky rests, its smaller and shorter design is well-suited for users with smaller hands. The mouse's smooth feet allow it to glide across various surfaces, enhancing both productivity and gaming efficiency.
