The ASUS TUF Gaming 750G is a 750W ATX 3.0 power supply featuring a single fan mode and a modular design for customizable cable management. Priced at $120 USD from the ASUS US webstore, it delivers stable and reliable performance suitable for high-performance systems. We recommend this PSU for its good load regulation, and resilience to brownouts.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
THE GOOD
- Resiliency
It is very resilient to brownouts, making it an excellent choice if power reliability is a concern.
THE BAD
- Cables
Not necessarily 'bad', but the cables are unbound, which can make them difficult to organize and prone to tangling. However, the PSU does come with velcro cable ties, and the cables are very flexible.
THE REST
- Overall
The 750G is unremarkable, but this is not necessarily a downside with a power supply. It performed well but not exceptionally in most areas. We recommend this PSU for its good load regulation, and resilience to brownouts.
The ASUS TUF Gaming 750G comes with standard necessary accessories, though nothing extra. The included cables are very flexible, as they are not bound in any way, which can make organization challenging, though velcro cable ties and zip ties are provided. These cables are not sleeved but are of excellent quality, regularly insulated, and have a braided pattern.
The PSU features a 135mm dual ball bearing fan and sufficient connections to power the CPU, a 12VHPWR connector, another PCIe device, and numerous SATA devices. It has an 80PLUS Gold rating, with power ratings and specifications meeting expectations for this price point. ASUS specifies an operating temperature of 0°C to 50°C, though we cannot verify this through testing.

Please note that the above ratings are manufacturer advertised specifications.
The TUF Gaming 750G operates in a single fan mode and the fan does not spin up until required at higher loads or temperatures. It includes all of the standard protections, with particularly high OCP and OPP results, especially for OPP and the 12V OCP. The PSU comes with a 10-year warranty, which is standard for its class.
The TUF Gaming 750G performed as expected across all tests. Throughout its full rated output power range of 750W, there was a 0.164V voltage drop on the 12V rail, which is within ATX specifications. The voltage ripple is about average for the 12V rail, but the 5V and 3.3V ripples are quite low, though these rails are less critical. The PSU has very good voltage regulation and performed well against power excursions, surviving all tests and maintaining voltages within regulations for almost all excursions. It slightly missed the mark on the 12V rail for very quick excursions but otherwise showed good performance.

Rated at 80PLUS Gold, the TUF Gaming 750G achieved 91% efficiency at 50% of its maximum rated load. It demonstrated significant resilience to brownouts, with the Power Good line dropping at an 18 ms dropout and voltage taking even longer to begin dropping. The Over Power Protection engaged at a maximum of 165% of the rated load, while the 12V rail managed 103A, or 166% of its rating. This is higher than similarly rated power supplies, allowing for more onerous loads without shutting down, though this PSU might take slightly longer to shut down in the event of a fault.
