The Super Flower LEADEX III Gold 1000W is a fully modular, 1000 W ATX 3.1 power supply featuring an additional fan mode. As of the publication date, it is available from Newegg for $159.99 USD MSRP. This power supply adheres to the updated ATX 3.1 PCIe 5.1 standards, including a 12V-2x6 cable rated for up to 600W.
During testing, we observed discrepancies in the marketing in regards to their 80PLUS Gold certification. The 80PLUS database report for this model number, SF-1000F14GE, refers to an older 2016 power supply, and the tested unit does not match the photo in the report. Similarly, while the power supply claims a Cybenetics Gold rating, no report is available for the 1000 W model; only the 1300 W version (SF-1300F14GE) has been certified. Although the lack of clear certification raises some questions, we find the 1300 W model’s certificate reassuring. That said, it’s important to note that the components in the 1000 W model will differ and and it is unknown how much of the design is shared between the models.
Despite these issues, we recommend the LEADEX III Gold 1000W for its excellent load regulations and ability to withstand power excursions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
THE GOOD
- Load Regulation
The power supply excels in load regulation, with the 12V rail experiencing a voltage variation of less than 100 mV across the entire load range. The 5V and 3.3V rails also exhibit exceptional performance remaining remarkably flat throughout the load range.
THE BAD
- Efficiency Certifications
While it is marketed as 80PLUS Gold and Cybenetics Gold, we were unable to find the corresponding data reports. However, our testing indicates that it would likely meet the efficiency standards required for 80PLUS Gold certification.
THE REST
- Overall
Despite the discrepancies surrounding its efficiency certifications, the LEADEX III Gold 1000W performs impressively in load regulations and demonstrates strong resilience to power excursions, making it an acceptable choice based on our testing.
The LEADEX III Gold 1000W is an ATX form factor power supply. In the Box, it includes minimal accessories, including cables, mounting bolts, and user documentation. The cables are flat and flexible, with a 12V-2x6 cable rated for up to 600W, in line with ATX 3.1 standards.
The unit features a 140 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan. On the Super Flower website they specify that the Operating Temperature is up to 50°C, though we cannot verify this through testing.

This power supply offers a hybrid fan mode, which includes the ECO mode (ECO Intelligent Thermal Control System) designed for silent operation. The fan will not start until the power supply measures approximately 60°C and will stop once the temperature has decreased to the 45-48°C range. This mode can be toggled with a physical switch on the rear of the unit.
The LEADEX III Gold 1000W is equipped with standard protections and is backed by a 10-year warranty.
In terms of performance, the LEADEX III Gold 1000W demonstrated excellent results. The 12V rail showed a voltage drop of just 0.094 V across the full 1000 W output, which is within ATX specifications and better than many other power supplies tested.
The 12V rail also maintained a peak-to-peak ripple of 39 mV under full load, meeting ATX ripple standards. The 5V and 3.3V rails also performed well, with ripple readings of 27 mV and 37 mV, respectively, and both remained flat across the load range.
During excursion testing, the power supply successfully kept voltages within ATX specifications, demonstrating consistent performance even under the strain of newer, high-power GPUs.

Despite discrepancies in its 80PLUS and Cybenetics certifications, the LEADEX III Gold 1000W meets the basic efficiency criteria for 80PLUS Gold based on our testing.
The power supply showed good resilience to brownouts, enduring 18 ms at full load for both 115V and 230V. Its Over Power Protection (OPP) engaged at a maximum of 144% of its rated load, with the 12V rail capable of 120A, or 144% of its rating. While this is on the higher end, it is within normal parameters and unlikely to cause issues.
