The Alienware Pro is a 75% hot-swappable wireless compatible keyboard designed for keyboard enthusiasts. It is built with a sturdy metal top plate, and sound dampening foam layers.

As of the publication date it is available for $199.99 USD MSRP in two colorways, Lunar Light (light gray), and Dark Side of the Moon (black). The included switches are Alienware Linear Mechanical Switches. While its 1000 Hz polling rate may not appeal to hardcore gamers, it remains a compelling option for those who enjoy the options of swapping out their switches.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

THE GOOD

  • Build Quality

Sturdy design allows for basic customization, and premium feel.

THE BAD

  • Price

It delivers premium features but at a premium price of $199.99 USD MSRP.

  • Polling Rate

Capped at 1000 Hz. While this may be sufficient for most users, those who prioritize fast response times for competitive gaming might find this less than ideal.

THE REST

  • Overall

It offers RGB, hot-swappability, small 75% layout, and a sturdy build. A bit plain in terms of customizable keyboards, but otherwise a well built keyboard.

PerformanceNotes

The Alienware Pro is equipped with Alienware Linear Mechanical Switches. In terms of latency, the  keyboard delivered average performance. While the latency is not groundbreaking, it is sufficient for most users.

Unfortunately, due to the current in repair state of our testing robot we could not collect keystroke actuation data. We will be updating this page with collected data once the robot is fully functional. Please note the keystroke actuation test bench and the latency test bench are separate.
