The Lofree Flow84 is a 75% low-profile Bluetooth compatible keyboard with a sleek minimalistic design. It is a fairly new keyboard to the mechanical keyboard market, released in late 2023. Priced at $159 USD, it features an aluminum frame with layers of sound dampening foam for a stable and satisfying typing experience.
Users can choose between two colorways: Black with tactile Phantom switches or White with linear Ghost switches. Although the keyboard lacks customization software, its proprietary low-profile double-shot PBT keycaps and solid construction make it a durable, visually appealing option. With Bluetooth and wired connectivity, it is compatible with multiple operating systems. Ideal for users prioritizing aesthetics and build quality over extensive customization, the Flow84 is perfect for productivity-focused tasks.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
THE GOOD
- Typing Feel
The Flow84 stands out for its satisfying feel and good “keeb” typing sound. There is no board flex which contributes to its stable typing performance.
THE BAD
- Customization
While hot-swappable and Lofree offers a variety of keycaps and different switch options, the keyboard does not have customization software, or compatibility with third-party software, limiting users to what they see is what they get.
- Price
Priced at $159 USD MSRP, it is on the more expensive side for low-profile mechanical keyboards. While offering a premium feel and look, it’s lacking the customization features that users may be used to.
THE REST
- Overall
The Flow84 is a good choice for those who value minimalist aesthetics and premium design. It is good for those who do not care for customization but do want a good sounding mechanical keyboard for productivity tasks.
In the Box, the Flow84 comes with very minimal accessories, including the keyboard itself, a USB Type-C to Type-A cable, and user documentation. While it is a hot-swappable keyboard, Lofree does not provide a keycap and/or switch puller or any extra switches.
Users can purchase a variety of colorful keycap sets or different Kailh low-profile POM switches on their website. The keyboard is very durable with a full aluminum-alloy frame, and several layers of sound-dampening foam, which adds to the rigidity. The included keycaps are a proprietary low-profile design, and are double-shot PBT, though not shine-through. The layers of sound-dampening foam allows for a very nice thick typing sound experience.

Unlike other low-profile keyboards, like the Nuphy Air75 v2, or Keychron K3 Pro, the Flow84 lacks software support for customization. It does not come with any software, nor is it QMK/VIA compatible. It does offer 8 RGB side-light options and white backlighting with compatibility options across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
Using Kailh Ghost low-profile switches, the Flow84 provides a comfortable typing experience with typical productivity latency. Although unsuitable for gaming, it's adequate for everyday tasks with decent latency results in both wired and wireless modes.
Unfortunately, due to the current in repair state of our testing robot we could not collect keystroke actuation data. We will be updating this page with collected data once the robot is fully functional. Please note the keystroke actuation test bench and the latency test bench are separate.
The Flow84 provides a fixed typing angle at 3.9° and does not come with a wrist rest. Its low-profile design makes it suitable for extended typing sessions without causing too much discomfort. For added comfort, Lofree offers wrist rests as accessories.
